There are five unique communities in the Grosse Pointes, each with its own governing officials and public safety department. The City of Grosse Pointe, Grosse Pointe Farms, Grosse Pointe Park, Grosse Pointe Woods and the Village of Grosse Pointe Shores, collectively referred to as "Grosse Pointe" or "The Pointes", encompassing nearly 11 square miles.

Entering Grosse Pointe, you are greeted by it's magnificent trees. The elms, maples, oaks and pines enhance the serene ambiance and provide charm, comfort and privacy. The eastern border of Grosse Pointe offers breathtaking views of Lake St Clair. The lake is one of the most differentiating characteristics of living in the Pointes.
